The Captiva Island Historical Society is committed to preserving the history of the island by recording oral histories told by long time Captiva residents, digitizing our archives of photographs, postcards, newspaper articles,letters and other artifacts to preserve these memories for residents and researchers, and to presenting educational programs to stimulate interest in our Island's past. We need your support to accomplish our goals and realize our mission.

We know there are wonderful photographs and items of historical significance belonging to many Captiva families and past residents or visitors to the Island. Won't you share your photographs and other materials with us? Write or email us and we will make arrangements to pick up your items. We will scan them into our archives and return everything to you.
